MOVE

BETTER.

RECOVER

STRONGER.

Goals don’t prevent injury. Systems do.

ActiveLife Therapy delivers structured, measurable recovery and return-to-performance through the MOVE Framework - for athletes who need more than rest

  • STEP 01.

We start by finding the real problem – not just where it hurts. A full movement screen, injury history review, load profiling, and sports-specific baseline gives us the complete picture before we plan anything

  • STEP 02.

Your personalised weekly plan is built around your sport, your schedule, and your weak links. We manage load, so you stay active through recovery – not stuck on the sideline doing nothing.

  • STEP 03.

No guessing when you’re ready. Sprint drills, deceleration testing, load tolerance checks – we retest the same things we tested at the start and give you a clear, objective readiness report before you return to sport.

  • STEP 04.

Getting back is just the start. We bridge the gap between rehab and performance – integrating your return to training, builiding a long-term prevention system, and making sure you don’t end up back at square one.

THE ATHLETIC THERAPIST

BEHIND THE SYSTEM

A woman in black athletic clothing sitting on an examination table in a medical office, with anatomical posters on the wall behind her.

Becky Furlong is an Athletic Therapist and the founder of ActiveLife Therapy in Wexford. She specialises in bridging the gap between clinical rehabilitation and peak performance, ensuring that recovery is never a matter of chance.

Journey & Experience

Becky’s path into the field began with a fascination for human performance and the body's innate resilience. In 2022, she graduated from SETU Carlow with a degree in Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy. Since then, she has built an extensive professional portfolio that spans the full spectrum of competitive sports.

Becky has worked at both club and intercounty levels, gaining invaluable experience with:

  • Wexford Minor Footballers

  • Wexford Senior Ladies Footballers

  • Wexford FC

  • Rugby & Hurling teams at various competitive tiers.

The MOVE Framework

Throughout her career, Becky noticed a frustrating pattern: athletes were returning to the pitch too soon, only to suffer re-injury. To solve this, she developed the MOVE Framework—a structured, testable, and measurable recovery system designed to replace guesswork with proof.

By utilising objective data, Becky ensures that when a client returns to play, they aren't just "feeling better"—they are physically validated and ready to compete.

Focus & Philosophy

While her experience with elite GAA, soccer, and rugby players is extensive, Becky’s mission at ActiveLife Therapy is to bring that same "pro-level" care to the wider Wexford community.

  • Areas of Focus: High-level return-to-play protocols, biomechanical screening, and long-term injury prevention.

  • Her Passion: Longevity. Whether a client is chasing a provincial title or simply looking to stay active in daily life, Becky is driven by the goal of keeping people moving for as long as possible.

  • Her Philosophy: Becky does not believe in "quick fixes." She believes in empowerment through evidence. Her role is to provide the roadmap and the metrics; the client’s role is to put in the work. Together, they ensure that recovery is both effective and permanent.

OUR PROPRIETARY SYSTEM

THE MOVE FRAMEWORK

Most physio is reactive. A session when it hurts. Rest. Hope. Repeat. The MOVE Framework replaces that cycle with a structured four-step system – from finding the root cause all the way to building a resilient, high-performing athlete.

Every client who joins ActiveLife Therapy goes through all four stages. Nothing is skipped. Every step is tested and measured.

★★★★★

I cannot recommend Becky highly enough! From the moment I met her I was impressed by how knowledeable and undertsanding she was. She made me feel at ease right away. She’s really detailed and attentive, she helped me fixing a lot of smaller aches, pains, and niggles to get me back out training and racing. I also went to Becky to get legs rubbed out before races, she certainly does a great job. Highly recommended.

Becky helped my daughter, who is a ballet dancer with a dislocated knee on three separate occasions. The treatment environment was calm and relaxed, yet Becky excelled at sharing complex expertise in simple and casual language. As a result of Becky’s programme of simple strength training using resistance bands, my daughter’s recovery time shortened dramatically. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Becky for athletic therapy. Her knowledge, expertise, professionalism and above all, kind nature have had an enormous impact on my daughter’s life and dance career. Thanks, Becky!

I highly recommend booking an appointment with Becky. She’s very attentive and knowledgeable. I came in with a sudden injury I got during the week and she was able to slot me in and help me out as soon as possible which I appreciated massively.
